Luke Bryan’s Farm Tour Heads to Westmoreland County This Fall |
Unity Township’s 1846 Farms prepares to welcome thousands for a major country music event |
Country music star Luke Bryan is set to bring his popular Farm Tour back to Western Pennsylvania, with a stop scheduled in the Latrobe area this September. The singer announced three additional tour dates on Friday, including a performance on Sept. 17 at 1846 Farms in Unity Township. The newly added stops also include Sept. 18 at Miller Family Farm in Millersport, Ohio, and Sept. 19 at Prairie View Farms in Brookston, Indiana. Tickets for all three shows will be available starting at 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 21. Bryan, a three-time Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year, last performed locally at The Pavilion at Star Lake and previously brought his Farm Tour to the Cunningham Family Farm in South Huntingdon in September 2024. Aleisha Stas, manager of 1846 Farms, said the opportunity came after event producers visited the region during last year’s show and were impressed with her family’s property. The farm, owned by Ben and Lori Stas, has a long history dating back to 1785 when it was known as Poorman Farm. After years of being used as a plant nursery and then sitting vacant, the family purchased the land in 2022 and renamed it in honor of a barn built there in 1846. Preparations for the concert are already underway, though some logistics are still being finalized. The stage will be set up in one of the farm’s fields, and excavation work is planned to accommodate parking for what could be around 20,000 attendees. “This is going to be a massive operation,” Stas said. “It’s an incredible opportunity not just for our farm, but for the entire Westmoreland County and Latrobe community. We expect it to bring a lot of visitors to the area.” A longtime fan of Bryan, Stas said her favorite song is his 2015 hit “Kick the Dust Up.” She also hopes the event will highlight the family’s ongoing efforts to preserve and revitalize the property. The farm currently produces crops such as deer corn, sweet corn, and rye. In addition, the family is in the process of transforming a 12,000-square-foot barn into a wedding venue and event space, a project that began shortly after they acquired the land. “Preserving farmland in Pennsylvania and creating a place where people can gather and enjoy it is something we care deeply about,” she said. Located at 412 Bell Memorial Church Road, the farm will have signage installed in the coming months to help direct concertgoers. The road is named after a nearby non-denominational church off Vermax Road. Bryan’s Farm Tour is presented by Bayer. More details about the tour can be found on Luke Bryan’s official website, and updates about 1846 Farms are available on its Facebook page.
