"Growing up in a single-parent home, a roof over our heads and food in our mouths always came first," Merrissa shared. Years later, having built a life as a mentor for young women herself, Merrissa did something extraordinary: she mailed her dress back to Latrobe. She wanted another girl in her hometown to feel the same "Cinderella magic" she felt fourteen years ago.
