From Childhood Creativity to Marketing Success |
Saint Vincent Graduate Alexa Brothers Turns Early Imagination into a Thriving Career |
Alexa Brothers’ path to a career in marketing began long before she could define the field itself. Growing up in Weedville, she spent her childhood creating imaginative “businesses” with her stuffed animals, designing advertisements, business cards, and even commercials. What once felt like play would later reveal itself as the foundation of her professional future. During her time at Saint Marys Area High School, Brothers explored multiple career options before recognizing marketing as the perfect fit. A job shadowing experience at a local car dealership confirmed her interest and inspired her to pursue the field seriously. When choosing a college, she was drawn to Saint Vincent College for its small class sizes and supportive environment, where she felt she could truly be known as an individual. Brothers excelled academically, earning her Bachelor of Science in marketing in just three years while receiving the Award for Academic Excellence in her major. She credits much of her success to the dedicated faculty, particularly Dr. Thomas Cline, whose mentorship and engaging teaching style left a lasting impression. One standout experience was a business plan project in which Brothers developed a marketing strategy for a consulting firm. The project strengthened her skills in research, positioning, and communication—tools she now uses daily in her role as creative manager at Kelly Operations Group. In her current position, Brothers oversees creative content for restaurant brands nationwide, from menus and advertising to social media and photoshoots. She thrives in the fast-paced nature of her work and values seeing her designs come to life in real-world settings. Reflecting on her journey, she credits Saint Vincent College for providing the strong foundation that continues to guide her success. |
